Verse 1
When I was a little girl
I dreamt of being in love
With a man so strong, so true
Who depended on the Lord
When I look at you I see that man
All my dreams come true
I can’t wait to start my life with you
I can’t wait to say “I do”
In your arms is where I want to be
And when I stare into your eyes
I know everything will be alright
And when you’re looking back at me
With those eyes so full of love
You make me feel so safe, so secure, so in love
In your arms is where I want to be
Verse 2
Now we’re standing here face to face
Ready to say “I do”
I’m ready to depend on you
To be loving, strong and true
When you look at me
Do you see
A girl so in love
The girl you’ve always dreamt about
Here without a doubt
In your arms is where I want to be
And when I stare into your eyes
I know everything will be alright
And when you’re looking back at me
With those eyes so full of love
You make me feel so safe, so secure, so in love
In your arms is where I want to be
Verse 3
So today we stand before the Lord
taking our vows
We promise to be faithful
in all we say and do
We ask the Lord to keep us safe
in this journey we are on
he will keep us strong
In his arms is where we want to be
and when He's we're following Him
we know everything will be alright
When he watches over us with his never ending grace
He gives us safety and security He gives his love
In his arms is where we want to be.
Yes, in Gods arms is where we want to be.

Thanks for letting me hear your songs Christy! You are definitely a talented singer/songwriter, and I think Brian will be delighted to receive such a special gift from you. The first song is my favorite, and I think it fits your voice well. The second has really neat lyrics, and I think you could do some really interesting things with an accompaniment (piano or guitar?) Have you thought of recording whichever song you don't sing in the wedding and use it as the background music for a slideshow or something like that?
in his arms is where we want to be
and when....
journey, walk together, side by side, struggle, embrace, wrestle, celebrate, morn, rejoice....
